Tottenham Street Festival and Mill Street Party
Where: Downtown Tottenham
When: 10:00am to 4:00pm
What an amazing year 2016 was for our annual TCW Street Festival! With more vendors, events, entertainers and attendees than ever before, the street festival was a fantastic success.
Fire Station Pancake Breakfast
Our local fire fighters fired up the grill at the Fire Station on Mill Street for a delicious pancake breakfast! All proceeds went to support the New Tecumseth Fire Department, and a huge number of happy families started the day off right with the most important (and syrupy!) meal of the day.
Who says there's no such thing as a free ride! All day long attendees enjoyed the free rides that are proudly presented by Tottenham Community Week and our generous sponsors. Rides included a Swing Carousel, kid's cars, bouncy castles, giant slides, and more. Did we mention it was all FREE!
Teddy Bear Clinic
Dr. Bajwa and the Pyne Hills Veterinary Hospital were available to give free check ups to everyone's favourite stuffed animals. Thank you to Pyne Hills for taking such great care of our most cuddly Tottenham citizens!
Thank you to all the local merchants who participated and brought their stores onto the street for the day! A great way to meet your neighbours - remember to shop local!
CRIC Youth Stage
We had a great time at the CRIC Youth Stage on Queen Street, organized by George Scott from Songwriter's Showcase. We have some talented youg people in this town! Bravo to everyone who performed, and we hope to see you again next year.
Everyone enjoyed shopping throughout the festival at a wide variety of vendors - from food to sunglasses to toys to home decor, there was something for everyone!
Hands On Exotics Animal Show
This amazing rescue organization offered a unique experience and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet exotic animals up close, and learn about animal care and conservation. Very hands-on, this was an opportunity to interact with exotic animals and take unforgettable pictures! A fabulous success in their first year at TCW, we hope to see them again next year!
Next Step Literacy's
Children's Spelling Bee
Congratulations to all our town's little logography leaders and vocabulary vikings who competed for Spelling Bee champion! Start practicing now for next year and we'll see you all back for an other round!
San Do Jutsu Karate Demonstration
Many thanks to the students and instructors of San Do Jutsu who demonstrated their skills. No plank of wood was safe!
NEW! Grand National Racing Systems
A huge hit with young and old alike in their first year! Grand National was an exciting new interactive event modeled after Sprint Cup Stock Car Racing. Scale replicas of some of the best known Nascar teams were controlled from consoles with full sized steering wheels. These were not slot cars! They can roam anywhere on the track with no flipping are are capable of speeds upwards of 190 MPH!
FREE Face Painting
The street festival was full of small animals, superheroes, and whatever else their imaginations could dream up. Well done TCW face painters!
Nicole Jacklin School of Dance Demonstrations
The students of Nicole Jacklin School of Dance strutted their stuff, perfected their pirouettes and showed off their moves! They performed throughout the day, and were fantastic to watch. Well done all!
PWA Superstars Live Pro Wrestling
Live Pro Wrestling invaded Tottenham again this year. Back by popular demand, everyone enjoyed the family friendly action from the PWS wrestling superstars.
Even the games were free! Inflatable hockey and football games, mini putt, fish pond, and so much more! Everyone played and earned tickets, and cashed them in for free prizes.
WORLD'S GREATEST SPRINKLER!
Once again Tottenham Community Week proudly presented THE WORLD'S GREATEST SPRINKLER! Thanks to our New Tecumseth Firefighters, Aerial Truck 37 was ready to help everyone beat the heat.
Mill Street Party
Where: Mill Street East
When: 12:00pm - 10:00pm
Ryan's Rusty Nail Restaurant
What a great night! What a fantastic party! Thank you once again to Ryan's Rusty Nail and all the fabulous performers.
