Thank you to everyone who participated!
What a fantastic night - the weather was hot but the rain held off, the runners were determined, and the prizes were definitely earned!
Prizes were awarded to Josh, for the fastest overall male, and Michelle, for the fastest overall female in the 5K run. And a shout out to our youngest participant at 3years old in the 2K!
A very special thanks goes out to Rick Bentley, who definitely CAN run, for adding even more fun to this year's event.
The 5K started at the Conservation Area and traveled up to Mill Street, then took a short jog down to the recently refurbished Trans Canada Trail overlooking the Tottenham Pond. The turn-around for the 5K run was at the 3rd Line of Tottenham. Thank you to all our participants, and to all our volunteers!
Thank you again to Tottenham Foodland who provided the food, and to Cedar Springs Water who provided the water to our race participants. Businesses like yours help make our community great!
Sound was generously engineered by Kenny Dimech who is new to our community - welcome to Tottenham, Kenny, and many thanks for your generosity in volunteering! We truly appreciate that Ralph Wilding, our town crier, stopped by to kick off the events of community week for us. Our racers had a great warm up with Dan McAdams from McAdams fitness, who got everyone ready to run and have a great time. More thanks to Run Dufferin, a non-profit organization whose goal is to support and promote health, fitness, community, trails, cycling, and especially - running! - for helping with the race set up. And last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to Walton Financial, our Run Sponsor.
The Tottenham Community Week Tuesday 2K and 5K are a success in partnership with Dr. Tom Naylor of Village Chiropractic. Thank you Dr. Tom Naylor!
